The book entitled “Ayvalık, Story of a Masterclass - A Contemporary Nucleus of Culture in the Land of Myths” has been released in English. The book, translated to English by Melahat Behlil is telling the story of the first 10 years of Ayvalik International music academy. The main text of the book including a long interview between the writer Enis Batur and the Academy's founder and director Prof. Filiz Ali, reveals the adventurous developement of an academy build on collective labor and civil iniciatives.

The concept of the book was conceived by Sadık Karamustafa, designed by Ayse Karamustafa. Ahmet Yorulmaz, Ayla Birsel, Aysel Namlı, Çiğdem İyicil, Dilbağ Tokay, Dorukan Doruk, Evin Doğukan, Fahrettin Arda, Fatma Kürşat, Halil Kantarcı, İlhan Usmanbaş, İlke Boran, Lale Tuluy, Martin Ihle, Nil Kocamangil, Ömer Madra, Peter Bruns, Şahin Alpay, Tınçay Barutçuoğlu ve Ümit Boyner are among the precious friends of AIMA having contributed with their writings, to the realisation of the book
